Powered by Energy Trek and One Billion Bulbs , the Community Alliance to Save Energy (CASE) is a new initiative dedicated to promoting energy conservation and the use of alternative and renewable energy sources by fostering community-based programs. These community-based CASE programs may be created by any of the following:
- Non-profit community-based organizations
- Community groups (neighborhood & homeowners’ associations, religious groups, social clubs, etc)
- Schools
- Local government (township, city, or county)
- Local utilities
- Local businesses (to participate in the programs or sponsor them)
It is the goal of Energy Trek and One Billion Bulbs to promote these local CASE programs and to support them by providing:
- An online repository of materials used in local CASE programs across the country so teachers and others putting on CASE programs can share their resources and practices
- A mechanism, via One Billion Bulbs, to track the change each local CASE program is creating in terms of the community use of energy-efficient light bulbs
- An online home on Energy Trek for videos created as a part of local CASE programs
- A site for online promotion of local CASE programs, including their news and events
If your organization, group, or company is interested in creating or sponsoring a CASE program in your community, please contact us.
